In this performative action, Yu-Ching Wang covers her head with a plastic bag with a colorful Key Food label to hide her identity, which could also be seen as protection against COVID. She imagined a connection between three seemingly unrelated but concurrent events in New York City: the mask mandate due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the plastic bag ban, and her personal experience of being called ''Chinese, Mask'' by two white men while walking down the street. Therefore, she thought that if she covered her head, people wouldn't be able to know her identity.
