A procession of multiple guitar players and percussionists weave through the 14th Street landscape playing original music. Using sound, choreographed movement, and graphic text, this spectacle communicates the universal story structure of Exposition, Conflict, and Resolution common to all cultures. Simultaneously specific and open, it encourages the audience to imagine their own stories living within it.
Tilted Axes is an orchestra of guitarists and percussionists led by composer/performer Patrick Grant. The project takes on aspects of urban street bands, avant-garde theater, and ancient music. It takes music out into the world and seeks transformative situations meant to change the conversation.
