This performance is a shopping cart stroll along 14th Street from the East River to the Hudson River, continuing the artist's decade long practice of keeping an eye to the ground, on the lookout for discards to later transform trash to treasure.
Niki Lederer has exhibited her sculpture since graduating from the Hunter MFA program in NYC. She earned a BFA from the University of Victoria, on the west coast of Canada. She was born in London, Ontario and raised in Vancouver. Her recent work manifests in repurposed consumer plastic sculptures.
