This large-scale interactive microphone creates a public performance initiated by participants who want to vocalize their story. Based on the design of the classic toy Echo Mic, the sculpture is amplified like a bullhorn, taking its context from playful to protest. The way to make social change and understand one another’s point of view is to openly communicate and actively listen.
Jana Greiner is an installation artist from Taos, New Mexico whose art relies heavily on form, concept and material. They are a graduate of the University of New Mexico’s College of Fine Art. Jana identifies as a queer interdisciplinary artist making art for mental health.
