This performance aims at giving a voice to an individual's identity that has been silenced. It delineates one’s identity as a woman and queer, reflecting on and separating from its family background. The performance captures the process of self-discovery and the state of owing one’s values. Both direct and abstract in its approach, the performance opens a space for the public to take a part in it by interacting with the performers. By breaking out of silence, we own ourselves and truly connect to each other.
3rdhouse is a performance art group creating multidisciplinary works, aiming to create unique voices for individuals' story.
Oh-Kyung Jang's work focuses on identity and sexuality by dissecting the layers of emotions and cultural structure.
